– The actress shared a photo of her late younger sister on her Instagram page to honour her Bisi Silva, the younger sister of popular veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, has passed away.

The woman who was an artistic director reportedly died on Tuesday, February 12, after battling cancer. According to PMNews, the late artistic director had died around 3:45pm on Tuesday, in Lagos state. Joke Silva who is grieving over the death of her sister shared Bisi’s photo as tribute to the deceased on her Instagram page. She wrote: “Thou mastering me God…” The deceased is the founder and artistic director of the Centre for Contemporary Art. The centre was opened in 2007. She also founded the Asiko International Art School in Lagos. Bisi Silva loved her craft and made sure she achieved as many degree as she could. She achieved her first degree in Foreign Languages in Paris, then earned her two year masters in visual arts (curating and commissioning of contemporary Art) at the Royal College of Art in London. She was a curator for many important exhibitions in Nigeria, Africa and Europe. She curated exhibitions like Democrazy, Playing with Chance: El Anatsui and J.D. Okhai Ojeikere: Moments of Beauty.
