DWAYNE JOHNSON IS REPORTEDLY THE HIGHEST-PAID ACTOR OF 2019

Hobbs & Shaw star Dwayne Johnson is reportedly the highest-paid actor in 2019, earning a staggering $89.4 million between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019.

Per Forbes, Johnson will earn $23.5 million for the upcoming sequel Jumanji: The Next Level and up to 15% of the box office revenue. The former wrestler also earns $700,000 per episode for his leading role on HBO’s Ballers, plus additional income from his deal with Under Armour.

Five of the top ten actors on the list were featured in Avengers: Endgame, which earned a record-breaking $2,795.9 billion at the worldwide box office, overtaking all-time champ Avatar.

According to Forbes, Robert Downey Jr. receives $20 million upfront for his portrayal of Iron Man, plus an additional 8% of the box office haul. In a recent interview with Forbes, Entertainment Lawyer David Chidekel said, “Celebrities such as Downey and (Scarlett) Johansson currently have extreme leverage to demand enormous compensation packages from studios investing hundreds of millions of dollars in making tent-pole films, such as The Avengers series.”
