Reliable information reaching us has it that Mr. Bakare, who has gone into hiding over fears for his life and that of his two daughters, is the only child of his late parents, Mr. And Mrs. Emmanuel Bakare and Grace Bakare.
According to very scared Mr. Bakare, who is currently on the run over fears for his life and that of two daughters:
“My late father was a strong and leading member of the reformed Ogboni fraternity and since his demise his fraternity members asked me to come and take my late father’s position based on his allegiance to them, an offer which I bluntly refused. And they began threatening me and insisting I must join them, as a replacement for my late father. Initially, I thought it was just an ordinary threat but they came after my life and two daughters at our Oloku Village. I was given the beating of my life. Injured with matchet on my head and sprayed with pepper spray on my eyes. I managed to run for my life by escaping with my two daughters. Since 2019, I have been on the run. I finally ran to Europe for protection.”
