PULISIC’S START TO LIFE AT CHELSEA COULD BE DELAYED

Christian Pulisic signed for Chelsea this January but will not start his life with the Blues until next season, as he remains at Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal until then.

However, the United States international may face even further delays to his Chelsea career, due to his potential involvement with the US Men’s National Team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The Gold Cup takes place every two years, and according to reports, this year it falls on the dates between June 15th and July 7th. Although not directly affecting the Premier League, which does not usually start until August, the American could miss most of Chelsea’s pre-season as a result.

Therefore, it is hard to see the 20-year old being involved in the first few games of the new campaign, given that he’ll undoubtedly need a rest after the tournament.

Pulisic captained his nation before the arrival of head coach Gregg Berhalter and the Chelsea man is expected to lead the line for the Americans in the Gold Cup this summer.
