Vector has said the respect he has for fellow rapper MI Abaga cannot stop him from being blunt about his standpoint whenever the need arises.

The ‘Lafiaji’ rapper said this in reaction to a recent Instagram spat that played out between the duo over an elusive collaboration.

Vector had called out MI for expressing cluelessness as to why they were yet to do a song together, and the latter responded by saying the former should have contacted him privately.

Justifying his decision to air his discontent on Instagram, Vector told Hip TV that the initial comment was made in the public domain, hence it was only natural to answer through a similar medium.

The ‘King Kong’ rapper said although he highly regards MI, it’s not in his character to be phoney about his feelings.

“I’m not in for the phoney thing. I respect him but that’s where it stops,” he said.

“You don’t tell me to send you a message privately when you say things publicly.

“This is all I’m saying- or have said because it’s not a continuum… I understand him thinking that I misunderstood what he said.”

Vector further added that the matter is not a big deal, saying, “its nothing serious”.

He continued: “That is me setting things straight because I’m that guy who sets things straight.”

Vector and MI Abaga are regarded by critics and fans as two of the best lyricists in Nigeria, hence the clamour to see them face-off on a hip-hop song.
