In this sixth sequel of ‘The predator’, the aliens from the outer reaches of space transport themselves to the small-town streets of suburbia, having genetically upgraded themselves with the DNA from other species. The hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series when a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before.
A soldier named McKenna (Boyd Holbrook) witnesses a Predator spaceship crash landing and sends evidence of it to his autistic son Rory, played by Jacob Tremblay. After the military covers it up and discredits him, McKenna is then sent away with other “loony” soldiers only to find out the Predator is going after his son. The soldiers then decide to go and stop it.
As the trailers reveal, there’s more than one Predator, and some are radically different than what we’re used to seeing. There is no worry of getting bored as the movie was fast paced, with little worry of whether the audience would catch up on all the action. One such moment is when a recognized character is killed in a split second that could easily be missed if one blinked.
