Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has been recognized for her roles and activities by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and selected as part of 100 women across the globe for their inspirational and innovative activities in their respective fields.
Tiwa is one of eight African women recognized for their works. A list which also includes Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
This year’s theme will focus on tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.
The selected women will be split into four teams and are expected to share their experiences and create innovative ways to tackle topical issues affecting women such as: The glass ceiling, Female illiteracy, Street harassment and Sexism in sport.
The 37 years old singer and songwriter took to her Instagram account to express her joy.
