What TV specials, shows, and movies should you watch this week? Well, let’s start with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s inauguration on January 20—not a TV show but it is the big event to watch in the coming days. And it’s going to be star-studded. Lady Gaga’s singing the national anthem. Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, and Justin Timberlake are performing. And the Celebrating America special airing that evening will feature appearances from Kerry Washington, John Legend, and Eva Longoria, among others. Celebs are showing up and out (virtually!) for this historic event.

American Masters: How It Feels to Be Free: Per a press release, this documentary “illuminates the lives and careers of six trailblazing Black female entertainers: Lena Horne, Abbey Lincoln, Nina Simone, Diahann Carroll, Cicely Tyson, and Pam Grier.” 9 p.m. ET on PBS
